Samsung may replace Fuchsia with Android in the future

It looks like Samsung will probably be one of the first companies to replace the Fuchsia operating system with Android in its future products.

Samsung is now launching almost all of its phones and tablets with the Android operating system. This operating system is used in all smartphones and tablets except iPhones, iPads and Windows tablets. (Difference between Android and iOS) is the best and most equipped operating system for smart gadgets, but it seems that Samsung intends to replace it with a new operating system soon.

The operating system that is supposed to replace Android is called Google Fuchsia. An open source operating system that Mountain View has been working on since 2016. Unlike Android, Fuchsia is suitable not only for phones and tablets, but also for a wide range of smart devices. In fact, the focus of this operating system is on the synchronization and coordination of smart devices as much as possible. In terms of support, Fushia is in a better position than Android. Because users will no longer have to rely on the companies that make those smart devices to provide updates. On the other hand, the benefit for manufacturers is that they will no longer have to spend a lot of time on software improvements.

Last year, Google made Fuchsia publicly available to large corporations, and Samsung soon became a fan of the operating system. The Korean company also added a snippet code for the Flash-Friendly File System to the operating system, called F2FS for short. F2FS is an open source file system designed by Samsung for flash memory architecture. F2FS is said to be much faster than the ext4 file system used by many Android phone companies these days.

We do not yet know how much Samsung has contributed to the improvement and development of this operating system, but according to one of the most famous revealers of the company, Ice Universe, the future products of the Korean giant will probably be equipped with the new operating system. Another thing to note is that if Google itself decides to replace Fuchsia with Android, Samsung and other companies will have no choice but to choose it.

Unfortunately, we still do not know what features Fuchsia has and when it will be officially available at all. But we do not seem to have to wait very long. Recently, a list of Bluetooth certificates showed that Google's network uses Fuchsia 1.0 as its operating system. Of course, this can not be a good reason to say that a product equipped with Fuchsia will be on the market soon. Because Google has to test it for a long time before this happens with the help of various developers.

Since next week, during the Google I / O event, the company's main focus will be on Android 12 and its various features, it seems unlikely that information will be released about Fuchsia. Because for now, the focus of users should be on the operating system on which a lot of work has been done.

More information on Fuchsia and the possibility of equipping future handsets with it is expected to be released in the coming months.
