Different Booklet Printing Binding Methods

Booklet printing is generally used to print single documents or books, on a variety of subjects and sizes. Basically, if you've 12 pages of printed A4 information that is printed with conventional techniques then 12 pages would normally be utilised. However, if the twelve pages were printed via booklet printing then only three pages would be utilised. These three pages would generally be made up of just one header, one table and one final page.

The way that booklet printing was designed to minimise wastage was by being produced in multiplexes. For example, it's very common for companies to print just one booklet per order, as opposed to two, four, six or eight. This allows for the booklet to be more 'disposable' in comparison to other forms of printing. It also makes up for the cost saving by reducing the number of templates. It is also worth bearing in mind that by choosing more numerous templates you will generally end up with higher quality products than when using smaller quantities.

There are many different ways in which you can produce your booklet printing. The most common technique is called saddle stitched. This is where the cover text is stitched to the cover board itself. The reason why saddle stitch is widely used is because it creates a nice clean and professional finish. The process of creating saddle stitch booklets is actually quite simple. You just need to work from left to right hand side of the board and then follow the instructions to produce your booklet printing.

The next commonly used way of producing booklets is to use the standard computer generated paper thinning solution. This basically means that you select the colours you want and then create your text and image automatically. This is a rather easy process that provides a perfect bound result. There is one drawback though, and that is that you may produce a paper thickness that is too thin or too thick. This means that the booklet could have a folded edge, making it difficult to put the booklet away neatly when not in use.

Another method of producing cheap booklet printing is to work with a professional bookbinding service. Some people prefer to work with these companies as they produce the final presentation of your booklets. There are advantages and disadvantages associated with both methods of binding. Some of the main advantages of using a professional company include high quality output, consistent results and the ability to produce custom finishes.

T-shirt printing is another popular method of producing booklet printing. The advantage of t-shirt printing is that you are able to produce custom designs. Although it produces great quality product you must be aware that the perfect-bound product is very heavy, which can make it difficult to handle. In addition there is the possibility of the t-shirt not fitting tightly. A common problem is that the colors do not come out as they should. This can often be solved by using an automatic trimmer.

If you intend to produce saddle stitch booklets then you will find that the process is generally the same as with t-shirt printing. The main difference between the two is the material you use for the booklet. Saddle stitch is produced with the help of a quilting machine, which is why it is easier to use than the t-shirt technique. The disadvantage of saddle stitch booklets is that the quality of the final output is lower than other binding options.

Pop-up menu printing is a relatively new technique that is rapidly gaining popularity. The advantage of pop-up menu is that it allows you to create a booklet with different sections. The disadvantage is that this printing option has a poor quality image and it can be difficult to make sense of. If your booklet printing will include a pop-up menu section then you should opt for an easier binding method such as saddle stitch.
