Leeds United Football: Bielsa target open to EPL move as Whites aim to keep hold of first team star

Leeds United has shown they are willing to make a big splash in the transfer market this summer. The Whites have already signed four new players, the latest of which is young midfielder Sean McGuirk from Wigan Athletic. Of course, the transfer window isn't just about bringing in talent, though.

Marcelo Bielsa has already said goodbye to players like Ezgjan Arioski and could lose another talent in Kiko Casilla, who is moving to La Liga club Elche in the coming days. Nor is he the only Leeds United player out there at the moment. According to the Telegraph, Leeds United's Kelechi Nwakali could be open to a possible move to England this summer.

The 23-year-old is currently under contract in Spain with Huesca but has been mooted as a possible addition for the Whites this summer. He is believed to have spent the early part of his career at Arsenal and now feels ready to give it another go in the Premier League. However, the Nigerian's signing is not necessarily without obstacles.

Firstly, All Nigeria Football previously reported that his current employer has offered him a new contract to keep him at the club beyond the end of the season. Secondly, the Telegraph suggests that Watford and Bournemouth are also interested and that a fee of around £15 million could be required to complete his arrival.

Leeds want to keep Messier

Leeds United will resist any efforts to lure young goalkeeper Ilan Meslier away from the club this summer. As Leeds Live reports, there are unconfirmed rumors linking the Frenchman with interest from PSG. It's easy to see why he's so coveted. Last season, despite only turning 21 in March, he established himself as the number one goalkeeper for the Whites, keeping the clean sheet 11 times.

Understandably, he is a player most associated with clubs who want to stay put, which is even truer considering the recent reports of Casillas's expected departure.
