While the show hasn't been renewed yet, once it does, it would make total sense for the show to start filming again. In fact, the producers have already talked to Netflix about ideas for season two.

Since this is the apocalypse, anything can happen, including some of our favorite characters not surviving to see season two. While the cast won't be confirmed until the show gets renewed, there's a good chance we'll see all of our favorites come back as long as nothing happens to their characters.

We will certainly see more of the tribes and how everyone is trying to survive to apocalypse without their parents and other adults. We'll probably see more of our Daybreakers trying to survive and how the apocalypse continues to shape these characters as they find out more about themselves and this new life.
When does season 2 come out?
Depending on how quickly the show gets renewed, there's a good chance that fans will only have to wait a year to see what happens in season two. This means we'll most likely see more episodes around October 2020, making it perfect for Halloween!
