Computed Tomography (CT) is a computerized X-ray imaging procedure

Computed tomography (CT) is a type of computerised X-ray imaging. CT scanners use a motorised X-ray source as opposed to traditional X-rays, which use a stationary X-ray tube. The computer generates cross-sectional images or slices in order to evaluate the signals produced.

The growth of the Computed Tomography (CT) market is primarily driven by increased product innovation, increased R&D activities, and increased awareness of non-invasive technologies.

The slices, which are also known as tomographic pictures, include more information than traditional X-rays. 3-D scans of the patient allow surgeons to more easily identify and locate basic structures as well as probable anomalies or malignancies in the body.
