"Foundation" is definitely one of the bigger names in the Apple TV+ streaming service. The sci-fi series revolves around a story in the future where humanity is no longer just on Earth, but scattered across many different planets throughout the galaxy. At the top of the food chain is what is known as the Galactic Empire, which governs the various human colonies.
The first season revolved around four characters doing whatever it takes to secure the future of the human species in extremely unstable times. So everything must be done to counteract the collapse of the galaxy, which is why the so-called Foundation of Dr. Hari Seldon was founded. The ensemble around Jared Harris, Lee Peace, Lou Llobell and Leah Harvey now gets a lot of additions for Season 2. Below we will introduce you to a few new characters.
On the one hand there is Dimitri Leonidas as Hober Mallow. He's a shrewd trader who operates by his very own moral compass and wants nothing more than to do his trade. Also included is Bel Riose, played by Ben Daniels. He is the last great general of the Superliminal Fleet and as a soldier, of course, he is primarily committed to the Galactic Empire, although this trust seems to be dwindling more and more. Isabella Laughland, on the other hand, plays the cheerful cleric Brother Constant, who spreads her teachings throughout the Galactic Empire and is a staunch believer in her faith.
Her counterpart is the cleric Poly Verisof, who, despite his drinking problem, is utterly cynical and has a razor-sharp mind. He is played by Kulvinder Ghir. There's also Sandra Yi Sencindiver as Enjoiner Rue, who is an advisor to Queen Sareth, who will be played by Ella-Rae Smith. The queen in particular will make clever use of her role as an underdog, especially since she is planning a great revenge campaign.
In addition to the actors just mentioned, Holt McCallany, Mikael Persbrandt, Rachel House and Nimrat Kaur join the cast. When exactly "Foundation" Season 2 will appear on Apple TV + is not yet known.
