Study and work in Germany

Along with your studies while in Germany as an international student, you are allowed to take up part-time employment. Usually, as per university norms, you can work up to 20 hours per week while studying but if you exceed this limit, you would be required to pay into the German social security system, and this could harm your studies. Your working time might vary from high employment regions to low employment regions. If your university is in a place that is in a city with high unemployment rates or requires more manpower, you might just get a work permit of more than 120 days. Although part-time is not a way to pay for your education, it can be a good source of pocket money and socialization. When your education is over, you will be allowed a post-study work permit where you would be allowed to work full time for a stipulated period in a career that is related to your field. To study in Germany we get collaborative research opportunities with Nordic countries like Sweden, Finland, and Denmark and 18-months post-study work (PSW) benefit and EU Blue Card opportunity for students.
