How do I determine points to use for Express Entry?

You can calculate Canada PR points using the CRS calculator available online. CRS is a points-based system Canadian immigration uses to determine and rank your application in your Express Entry pool. The main factors it evaluates include:

  • Skills
  • Education
  • Language
  • Work experience

The number (up to 1200 points) can determine if you are over the minimum points required in your most recent round of invitations.

What is the cost to relocate to Canada?

The cost for the move to Canada will be contingent on whether you're applying for Express Entry, a student permit, provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) and an Employment Holiday Visa.

  • Express Entry & PNP: A person applying for a visa needs around CAD 15,000 to move to Canada. Couples will require about CAD 20,000, whereas families with children need between CAD 24,000 and CAD 30,000. This includes everything from biometrics to language tests to PR costs and police certification.
  • Studied permit: You need to get accepted to the Canadian Designated Learning Institution to be eligible for a study permit. The cost is about CAD 12,985, which does not include tuition fees. International students need to consider between CAD 19,250 to CAD 32,020 in tuition per year.
  • Working Holiday Visa: Youth from more than 30 nations is eligible to reside or work within Canada. You can find further details of the program on the government's website. The average cost is CAD 3,350.
