Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu board the Mugen train. Of course, Inosuke is making a complete show of himself. They know that they will meet Flame Hashira on the train. They hear Rengoku raving about the bento boxes he bought at the train station.
At first, our young demon slayers are unimpressed with the easygoing Rengoku. Then, they watched him kill a couple of demons (we'll get back to that), and they became huge fans. Actually, he is very cute. They start calling him “big brother”.
Not surprisingly, the trio immediately takes a liking to Rengoku. He is a nice guy and a nice character. He is charismatic and his enthusiasm is contagious. Find out here more information about this article.
There's Demon's On The Train aka Rengoku's Light Work
The train passengers are in danger. There are a couple of demons terrorizing everyone on the train. Rengoku quickly kills the first demon. In another car, there is a passenger right next to the demon. With all the zeal he can muster, Inosuke decides to attack the demon, putting the passenger in danger.
Rengoku, cool as a cucumber, pushes Inosuke out of the way and leads the passenger to safety. He then cuts off that monster's head. Of course it was amazing! It also leads to high praise from the trio.
The long nap
If you saw the movie, you are already familiar with our main villain, Enmu. He has the ability to put people to sleep and steal their spiritual core (essentially, their soul). This episode ends with Enmu putting everyone on the train to sleep and enlisting the kids' help in tying up our demon hunters.
We then see Tanjiro back in his hometown. There, he sees that his family is still alive and that he is not a demon slayer. He is understandably emotional, but he doesn't realize that he is in the middle of a dream.
General
Needless to say, I really liked this episode. I never get tired of seeing Rengoku in action. Based on the movie, I think we're going to get to a point in the arc where there's less action and more story. I'm interested to see how the creators will expand the story and keep our interest.
