While people think that finding the perfect games for PlayStation is a real challenge, the most severe challenge nowadays is to decide between PS5 and PS5 Digital. Since both encompass almost identical features and slight differences, selecting the right one seems a hard chore.

But, worry not! You must know the top differences before getting your hands on the one between PS5, and PS5 Digital noted below. So, let's start reading if you also want to know.

  • PS5 vs PS5 Digital: Price

The PS5 and the PS5 Digital both differ from each other when it comes to the price. In the US, you can get the PlayStation 5 at $499 whereas you have to pay only $399 for getting the PS5 Digital. Although the prices may differ due to countries, offers, and various reasons, the Digital one generally comes out to be cheaper than the normal one. Of course, if you want to buy PS5 accessories, you have to pay more. But, saving around $100 on a console is something to consider.

  • Specs and Powers

Both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital contain almost the same specs, such as processors, RAMs, performance, and storage. Additionally, the games' graphics and loading times are similar in both PS5 and PS5 Digital. Furthermore, the accessories and built-in SSD are also the same in these models. But, you cannot get the HD Blu-ray Disc Drive in the PS5 Digital edition. Otherwise, the specs and powers are almost equal in both PS5 and PS5 Digital.

  • Games

With a standard PS5, you can buy digital and disc games. However, with a PS5 Digital, you can only buy games digitally. As a result, when you strive to save some bucks by getting your hands on a PS5 digital, you have to pay lots of money to buy games with this console. But, it is also good for those who are ready to spend their money on games. For instance, with a PS5 Digital, buying games will be convenient for you. But, with this, you could never rent or borrow a game from a friend like a PS5.

  • Backward compatibility and upgrades

With a PlayStation 5, you can play almost all pre-owned PS4 games since all the nine PS4 games are backwards compatible with PS5. You can also boost the performance of the pre-owned PS4 with GameBoost. Furthermore, by placing the PlayStation 4 pre-owned games on disc, you can install them on PS5 for free. On the other hand, if you own PS4 games digitally, you can also transfer them to your PS5 or PS5 Digital. So, both these consoles are highly backwards compatible.
