IOM3 MIMMM Benefits

Attaining an IOM3 Member grade (MIMMM) will provide you with global recognition for your professional engineering work experience, knowledge and understanding in a technical discipline related to IOM3.

As a member, you will usually be expected to exercise independent judgment in both practical experience and the use of engineering or scientific or environmental principles. Everybody will consider you innovative in technical matters that are related to materials and natural resources in one or more of the following: extraction, exploration, forming, processing, application, selection, development, manufacturing, research, repurposing, reuse and recycling.

Eligibility criteria for this status:

·       You need to have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree be it a BSc, BEng, BSc (Eng), BTech and the like or equivalent to RQF Level 6/SCQF Level 9/10 qualification in a relevant engineering, technology, science or environmental subject.

·       Having a minimum of 4 years of related work experience. It can include the time you spent completing a Ph.D. or EngD.

If you don’t have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent but have significant related work experience, then you may be eligible for the Member grade based on your work-based learning. Hire an IOM3 report expert to know more about this route.

Otherwise, if you don’t fulfill these criteria, you need to apply for the grade of Associate (AIMMM).

Membership benefits:

1.  Post-nominal letters ‘MIMMM’ can be used after your name.

2.  Free entry to IOM3’s ‘Introduction to Professional Registration’ workshop.

3.  Apply for Interim Registration Professional Registration if looking for qualifying in due course to apply for recognition as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with the Engineering Council.

4.  Free entry to IOM’s Professional Registration Workshops.

5.  Access to a Mentor to help you with your application for professional registration.

6.  Entry to IOM’s Continuing Professional Development workshop for free.

7.  Free entry to IOM’s Fellowship workshop.

8.  Apply for a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) card for which you have to pass the related CITB Health and Safety and Environment Test or an approved alternative.

9.  Apply to be accredited with Minerals Reporting accreditation under the terms of the CRIRSCO template Codes of Reporting and be added to IOM’s register, from which practitioner credential checks can be done by the public.

Although we provide you with the benefits and eligibility criteria for MIMMM, we advise you to hire an IOM3 competency report writing expert so that you can apply for it successfully. Besides that, the expert will also help you with preparation for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) using the CEng MIMMM pathway.
