NutriBullet ZNBF30400Z is the best affordable blender for smoothies

You can make everything from soup to sauce to nut butter with this 1200-watt workhorse. Its stainless-steel blade is perfect for pulverizing leafy greens, frozen fruit, whole vegetables, and other difficult-to-pulverize foods.

It's ideal for blending hot meals because of the sturdy, vented pitcher.

The tamper not only works well with thick mixtures, but it also makes cleaning the machine a lot easier. It aids in the removal of ingredients that become stuck in the blades and provides users with three-speed options as well as a pulse feature (that means no more digging around with a spoon to make sure everything is blended). Hand washing is easy, but you can also put it in the dishwasher if you prefer.

When you've exhausted your tried-and-true recipes, look to the recipe book for ideas.

Design

Preset blending modes and a digital timer are the main features that this blender lacks when compared to more expensive models. While this does necessitate manual control of the blend's speed and duration, we didn't believe it added significantly more work. If you prefer a more convenient method of transporting your smoothies, you can also purchase a combo pack that includes some personal smoothie cups.

Performance

In all four of our smoothie tests, NutriBullet outperformed the competition, including green, berry, fruit & oat, and Oreo malt smoothies.

For our green smoothie test, we used the NutriBullet on high power for 70 seconds, which produced an excellent, albeit foamy, beverage. It was one of the tastiest green smoothies we tried. This blender obliterated almost all of the frozen fruit, spinach, and kale except for a tiny chunk.

This blender performed slightly worse in our berry smoothie test. Despite being well blended, the beverage was unable to completely disintegrate all of the berry seeds, leaving plenty of seed fragments behind after 60 seconds. This was especially noticeable after we let the drink sit for a few minutes, as the seed particles separated noticeably.

Because it contains so little liquid, the strawberry, almond, yogurt, oat, banana, and maple syrup smoothie is one of our more difficult blending tests. The NutriBullet struggled slightly more with this beverage, as expected, but still, put up a good fight. Even though it left a significant amount of unblended material on the pitcher's sides and the resulting mixture was a little grainy, our judges all agreed that the smoothie was delicious.

The ice cubes were easily obliterated by this blender, which did so in about 10 seconds. The crushed ice that resulted was fairly uniform in size, with no large chunks that escaped the blades.

When it came to pureeing, this blender did an excellent job of blending some almond and peanut butter, resulting in a smooth and creamy spread in about 8 minutes. Even though the machine did not appear to be struggling, we did need to add about 1/2 tablespoon of oil to get the mixture going right away.

Cleaning

The NutriBullet includes a dishwasher-safe pitcher, lid, and blade that are relatively simple to clean by hand. Although the pitcher has a wide mouth, cleaning beneath the edges can be difficult. We missed bits of food trapped there several times during testing, so be extra cautious when cleaning to ensure that no trapped food molds or rots.

The pitcher's lid is simple to clean and remove. We discovered, however, that we needed to use a dish drainer to dry out the pitcher after washing it because there is no way to place it on the base to allow adequate airflow underneath to dry it out properly.

Is the NutriBullet ZNBF30400Z Blender a good buy?

Although the lack of presets and a timer makes it a little more difficult to use, the NutriBullet is significantly less expensive than top-tier models, so we believe the extra effort is well worth it.

We recommend the NutriBullet Blender ZNBF30400Z to anyone looking for a low-cost blender. It outperforms many high-end blenders at such a low price, and we couldn't find anything wrong with it. It effortlessly made a super-easy smoothie, a smooth blended drink, and ground-up hard cheese.
