Spiritual Readings: The Seven Chakras

Information about past lives, present conditions and future possibilities are all contained in the seven chakras. A good psychic can gather an amazing amount of highly beneficial data quite quickly during a chakra reading. Each chakra contains a set of information about a different area of life. Talents, abilities, beliefs and issues that need work in the particular area governed by each chakra are all readily apparent.

The quickest, easiest way to "see/feel" chakras is to have the guidance of a skilled teacher in learning how to send life force energy into each chakra in turn. As the energy goes into the chakra, visions, messages, thoughts and emotions begin appearing in the psychic's mind. This is actually quite easy for most people to do. It requires only a few hours of training, either in person or by Skype/telephone.

The most benefit derived when reading chakras comes from delving beneath surface issues, and the emotions driving those issues, to the beliefs that are generating the emotions. If the beliefs, or stories, are known, people can make permanent, highly beneficial changes in their lives by changing the false belief to a more positive one. This changed belief then starts generating positive emotions, which in turn power positive changes.

Manipura is the first chakra and is commonly called the root, or base chakra. It is located between the sexual organs and anus, at the very base of the body. Its color is red. It governs knowledge, the ability to perform in this physical world and the capacity to bring the fruits of the other six chakras into physical reality. Data about physical health, work, the home, travel, security issues and places to live is here. It's also here that the column of Yin energy connecting the energy system to mother earth enters. This column enables earthly power to flow up and negative, or excess, energy to flow down and ground out.

Swadishtana, the second chakra, is sometimes called the sacral chakra. It's behind the pubic bone, deep in the body, just in front of the spine. It's orange and governs the emotions, subconscious and sexual energy. Emotional and childhood issues, sexual relationships, feelings, desires, pleasures, ability to change, emotions generated by changes, suppressed emotions and sexual blocks are all here.

Manipura, the third chakra, is often called the power chakra. Sometimes it's referred to as the solar plexus chakra by mistake. It's actually an inch above the navel, back in front of the spine. The Shree center of creativity and abundance is in the solar plexus about one third of the way back into the body. It is not a chakra. Both energy centers are yellow. Personal power resides in Manipura. The will, inner strength, personal energy levels, use of power, self control and authority are all here.

Anahata is the heart chakra. It's behind the breastbone at heart level. Its color is usually green, sometimes with pink mixing in. Love emanates from the heart chakra, going out to all. All emotions, information about relationships, the ability to love, parenting, divine love, unconditional love, who is loved, self love, forgiveness, romance and broken heartedness are here.

Vishuddi, the throat chakra, is located at the base of the throat. The color is usually blue. It governs communication and our immune system. Here is self expression, use of talents, expression in speech, writing, and the arts. This is the most common place to see emotional blocks clearly because they rise up to Vishuddi and block communication with others.

Ajneya, or the third eye, is located in the center of the forehead above and between the eyebrows. Its usual color is indigo. This is the seat of psychic and mental powers. The openness of this chakra is one determinant in psychic abilities. Talents and abilities developed in past lives are here, along with awareness, wisdom and devotion. A little deeper lies the person's life purpose.

Sahasrara is the crown chakra located on top of the head. Its color is usually violet with varying amounts of gold. This is spirituality. Any spiritual teachings carried from the past are here, along with the spiritual paths that were followed. It's also very interesting and helpful to learn about past lives that advanced or retarded spiritual growth. The openness of this chakra determines how much universal life force energy can come into the energy system. It's here that the slender white energy cord bringing celestial energies down from the heavens enters.

The immense amount of information gathered by reading chakras is highly beneficial to know, but is only a beginning. Other sources that can be read are the Tan Tiens, palms, aura, past lives, soul and causal layer. Taken all together, a much more complete picture emerges.
