Professional Interview For EngExec Credential

The credential of EngExec (Engineering Executive) recognizes pre-eminent professionals working in executive positions who have proven their exceptional leadership and talent. After a long career as an engineer which has culminated in a senior leadership position, receiving the status of EngExec is the next step in your engineering career.

This credential is not only for engineering professionals, but it can also be for senior business leaders who work in the engineering sections but are not engineers.

Achievement of this status also presents an opportunity to play a major role in shaping the future of the Australian engineering profession.

The exclusive nature of this status means that the opportunity to apply for this credential is only provided to a selected group of individuals on an invitation-only basis.

Application process:

An eligible candidate will get a detailed invitation letter. This letter will explain how to apply for the EngExec status.

You are not required to be an Engineers Australia member to be invited to apply for EngExec Engineers Australia. However, if you are not a member, you will be required to join as an Engineers Australia member in the application process.

As per eligibility criteria, you need to have 15 or more years of industry experience and be in a senior management and leadership role. Besides that, you need to be able to demonstrate the necessary leadership and management competencies for the EngExec credential and complete a self-assessment if invited to apply.

If you think that you fulfill the criteria for EngExec but have not got an invitation, you can email Engineers Australia to express your interest in applying.

Professional interview for the EngExec credential:

A professional interview with an Engineers Australia assessor is the last step to attaining the EngExec credential.

Engineers Australia will be in touch to fix a time for your professional interview with of its assessors. After that, you will get an invitation to the online Teams or Skype interview.

This interview will last nearly one hour and include a wide discussion about your engineering career and your responses to the questions in the self-assessment form.
