The Solvang Winery
This is one of the most popular stops on the tour, and for good reason. The Solvang Winery is located in the heart of picturesque Santa Ynez Valley, with views from their tasting room that show off all manner of vineyards and rolling hillsides. They offer a wide variety of wines to sample, including their award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon Grandeur Reserve 2006. You can also bring your own food if you want (and even cook it if you're feeling adventurous).
Santa Ynez Valley Winery
This winery has been around since 1976, so they've got some history behind them—and they're still producing some excellent wines today! Their tasting room provides an excellent opportunity for learning about California wine production while enjoying samples from several different varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Pinot Noir are just three among dozens more varieties available here at this highly recommended stop along CA Highway 101 southbound near Los Olivos (about 6 miles south).

A wine tour will take you on a full day or weekend excursion to some of the best wineries in Solvang, California. You’ll get to try lots of different kinds of wines made by different wineries, as well as learn about their history and culture. A tasting is similar but smaller in scope: it can only include 3-5 samples per person (instead of an entire bottle) so there's less time for drinking! If you want to try more than five bottles at once, then this might not be right for your group size.
- How much does it cost?
The price depends on what kind of tour package you choose:
$15/person - includes transportation from Lompoc Airport/Train Station; entrance fee into our facility where all tastings occur; one glass per person during each tasting session (maximum 4 glasses total); unlimited snacks provided throughout both days combined (excluding lunch break). Or $17/person plus tax & gratuity if staying overnight at one location vs two locations during same trip!
- What is required age range?
We recommend no younger than 12 years old due to safety concerns regarding alcohol consumption during their formative years . Parents should also keep tabs on how much kids eat during these events so they don't end up overdoing it later down line...and remember that adults need supervision too!"
