While you are pregnant, particularly in the later stages, it is very common to have back pain, swelling in your limbs, and dizziness when you are waking/getting up. You should take the following considerations into account in order to ensure you get a healthy sleep and a healthy pregnancy.
-we do not recommend sleeping on your back. When you are on your back, the baby's weight is being applied and putting pressure on your organs, blood vessels, spine, and the muscles around the spine. This is going to lead to discomfort and disturbed functionality of your organs.
-we do recommend that you sleep on your left side. This is going to help prevent pressure from being on the big veins that are located on the right side of your body that carry blood from your heart to your limbs.
-when you are adjusting your position when sleeping on your left side, you can lean towards your stomach or towards your back occasionally.
Using a body pillow is highly recommended to help support your legs, spine, and arms. You should be placing the pillow in between your knees and up to your chest and hug the pillow.
