You will be taken to your hotel for a brief rest upon arrival. Later, we drive to the Agra Fort, which is a mix of Hindu and Mughal architecture. It was originally built by the Rajputs and was later renovated by various Mughal emperors using red sandstone, bricks, and Makarana marble. A walled, palatial city more accurately describes the Fort.

We will visit the Taj Mahal at sunset, a monument to eternal love on the Yamuna River’s southern bank, after the Agra Fort. Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor, built it in memory of Mumtaz Mahal, his beloved wife who died in the 16th century. Due to its stunning symmetry and white marble inlays, the Taj Mahal never fails to captivate.

We will spend the evening touring the bazaars, where the descendants of the marble craftsmen who worked on the Taj Mahal continue to perfect their craft.

Day 4: Agra-Jaipur (via Fatehpur Sikri). In the morning, we will travel to Jaipur, also known as the “Pink City,” the vibrant capital of Rajasthan. We will stop at the grand, deserted Mughal royal city of Fatehpur Sikri on the way.
