Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk addresses whether he believes Jimmy McGill will reunite with his ex-wife, Kim Wexler, after he gets out of jail.
Better Call Saul lead actor Bob Odenkirk voices his opinion on the possibility of Jimmy McGill reuniting with his ex-wife Kim Wexler after he has served his jail sentence. The Breaking Bad prequel ended in August 2022 after 6 seasons, serving as a conclusion to the entire franchise. The final four episodes took place after the events of Breaking Bad and showed Jimmy discarding his past as Saul Goodman as he confessed to his pivotal involvement in Walter White's meth empire, landing him 86 years behind bars. Rhea Seehorn's Kim, who divorced Jimmy before he permanently embraced the persona of Saul, was present at his sentencing and visited him in prison.

Odenkirk spoke about Better Call Saul in Empire's February 2023 issue where he was questioned on whether Kim could be waiting for Jimmy after he gets a reduced sentence for good behavior. Odenkirk gave an optimistic response regarding the "very satisfying relationship" shared between the characters for the majority of the show, while also acknowledging that Jimmy sacrificed his freedom in exchange for the removal of the burden placed on him by his actions as Saul. Odenkirk's full quote is as follows:
I absolutely agree with you. I think that's what goes on. And in a weird way, he'd have to count that as a very satisfying relationship to have had in his life. He traded his freedom for peace of mind and peace of heart, and I think that's a fair trade, for sure.
