What should be paid attention to when assembling lifepo4 battery pack by yourself?

1、 Precautions in the use of the electric core include the selection of the cell, the protection of the aluminum plastic composite film, the top edge sealing (the edge sealing of the pole handle end), the side edge sealing, the pole handle, and the measures to avoid mechanical impact and short circuit.

 

1. Core screening problem: how to distinguish between good and bad when the cell is available? Internal resistance tester and capacity tester must be used. Test the nominal MH and the actual MH. The greater the difference from the nominal parameters, the worse the quality. The lower the internal resistance of the battery, the better.

 

2. Aluminum plastic composite film outer packaging protection: mainly to avoid being damaged by sharp parts. For this reason, the surrounding environment of the battery should be cleaned frequently. Sharp parts are not allowed to contact or collide with the battery cell. Gloves can be worn when taking the battery to prevent fingernails from scratching the surface of the battery cell.

 

3. Top edge sealing and side edge sealing protection: in order to avoid damage to the top edge sealing and side edge sealing and damage the sealing effect, it is prohibited to bend the top edge sealing and side edge sealing; At the same time, reliable insulation and isolation measures must be taken in the design of the electric core to avoid the butt short circuit between the negative electrode and the aluminum plastic composite film.

 

4. Pole handle protection: aluminum pole handle is used as the positive lead out terminal of polymer lithium battery cell, and nickel pole handle is used as the negative lead out terminal. As the pole handle is thin, bending shall be prohibited; At the same time, contact between the pole handle and the aluminum plastic composite film shall be avoided during production, and the ferrule film shall be used for strict isolation.

 

5. Insulation protection: In order to prevent battery polarity short circuit when assembling multiple single electric cells in series, insulation treatment shall be carried out. The battery lug position shall be separated by PC film or silicone film, and then wrapped with multi-layer insulation tape to fix it. After that, a layer of insulation layer shall be added at the welding wire position, and stripe tape shall be added to fix it.

 

6. Avoid mechanical impact, such as falling, striking, bending the battery cell and accidentally stepping on the battery. 

 

7. It is forbidden to use metal objects or wires to short-circuit the positive and negative poles.

 

8. Waterproof protection: the lithium battery is assembled, and then packaged after the overall pouring of insulating glue. Or use waterproof battery box

 

9. The battery pack must be shockproof. During the use of electric vehicles, the battery pack skin cannot be used to cushion the collision, and deformation will cause short circuit. Try to use the grid support+cushion+outer box.

 

10. Do a good job of heat dissipation. Heat conductive silicone grease pad is used as the medium to guide the heat to the stainless steel shell. Or the battery pack can provide heat conduction channel if conditions permit. In energy conversion, timely heat conduction can realize the optimization of the battery. Steel outer box+fan assistance are conventional solutions.

 

11. Anti corrosion problem. The battery will rust after being kept for a long time. If possible, try to take anti-corrosion measures.

 

 

 

2、 After a cell is completed, the next step is to correctly combine it with the shell and the cell protection circuit module to make it a polymer battery. Precautions in this process include:

 

1. Housing design:

 

(1) Sufficient mechanical strength to avoid mechanical damage to the electric core caused by external force,

 

(2) When the electric core is installed in the housing, the sharp corners of the housing shall not scratch the electric core;

 

(3) Prevent short circuit caused by pure aluminum of aluminum plastic composite film interlayer contacting with the outside. 

 

2. The battery cell protection circuit must be designed, including the scientific setting of the highest/lowest voltage, over-current protection, and the battery cell (single battery cell) must be protected against overcharge and overdischarge when using the battery cell in combination.

 

3. The transfer of the positive aluminum pole handle through the nickel bar and the connection between the electric core and the circuit board shall be carried out by ultrasonic welding or spot welding technology.

 

4. The battery cell shall be reliably positioned. After assembly, the battery cell shall be firmly fastened in the shell, without random loosening, so that the entire lithium battery structure is in a consolidated state.
