Latest ACS Migration Skills Assessment Fees

Eligibility criteria: 


There are different criteria that depend on the level of your educational background and your work experience for the ACS Migration Skills assessment. Let’s become familiar with all of them one by one: 


Temporary Graduate


You need to complete an Australian Bachelor’s Degree or higher, and your degree must be an ICT major and in harmony with your nominated occupation. You don’t need to have worked in the field. 


Post Australian Study Skills Assessment: 


You need to have an Australian Bachelor’s Degree or above. The Australian qualification needs to be an ICT major and closely relevant to your chosen occupation. You need to complete 1 year of related post-study work experience or complete the ACS Professional Year program. 


Skills: 


If having a Bachelor’s Degree or above, and the degree is closely related to your occupation and ICT major, you have to show 2 years of related work experience you earned in the last 10 years or 4 years of related work experience attained anytime in the past. 

In the case of having a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, and the degree is not closely related to your occupation, and it is an ICT major, you must show 4 years of related work experience earned anytime in the past. 

If having a Bachelor’s Degree or above, and the degree is closely related to your chosen occupation, and it is an ICT minor, show at least 5 years of related work experience you earned in the last 10 years of 6 years of related work experience earned anytime in the past. 

In the case of having a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, and the degree is not closely related to your occupation, and it is an ICT minor, you must show 6 years of related work experience you earned anytime in the past. 

If having an Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Associate Degree and the qualification is closely related to your chosen occupation, and it is an ICT major, show 5 years of related work experience you earned anytime in the last 10 years or 6 years of related work experience you earned anytime in the past. 

If you have an Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Associate Degree and the qualification is not closely related to your chosen occupation, and it is an ICT major, demonstrate 6 years of relevant work experience you earned anytime in the past. 


RPL: 


If you have a non-ICT Diploma or higher, you need to have 6 years of relevant work experience and a successful RPL application. 

If you don’t have any tertiary qualification, you need to have 8 years of related work experience and a successful RPL application. 

For RPL, you need to demonstrate how you attained your ICT knowledge. It requires you to submit 2 project reports. The report must have details about your career episode and show ICT knowledge that you gained in a working situation for a positive Australian Computer Society skills assessment

The following are the latest fees for an ACS Migration Skills assessment: 


Application type - Fee

Temporary Graduate - 485

Skills Assessment - $500

Skills (general application) - $530

Post Australian Study Skills Assessment - $530

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) - $575

Appeal Application - $395

Review Application - $395


Note: Per application, 8 skill assessment episodes are made up of a candidate’s employment or qualification documentation. 

Therefore, for each extra qualification or employment episode exceeding the maximum of 8 per application, and an extra fee of $50 will be applicable.
