THINKING OF BUYING A STYLISH SUIT FOR YOUR WESTERN WEAR? 108TYM GOLDEN RULE OF SELECTING THE BEST

Buying a new suit can be difficult when you do not to know what you're looking for. Before purchasing, you need to consider certain parameters such as materials, colours, fits, and styles. Investing in a suit that doesn’t fit you well is just a waste of money. This blog will help you to purchase the right western wear for men.

Are you ready to begin? Let's get dressed!

  1. Should You Buy Online Or Offline?
  2. Select Your Fabric
  3. Perfect Fit
  4. Opt for Function Over Fashion.
  5. Select Your Shirt
  6. Combine your shoes and your suit.
  7. Accessorize Your Suit with Neckwear
  8. Improve Your Grooming

We'll assume you're starting from the beginning. This may be your first suit, or maybe it's been a decade since you bought it, but you need one for a wedding in two weeks. So let us begin by defining a suit per the definition of 108TYM

A man's suit consists of a blazer and trousers of the same material. Men make the mistake of pairing trousers and a similar blazer for a suit. Do not attempt it.

Suit Buying Rule #1: Online or Offline Purchase?

The first step is to decide whether you will buy your suit online or in person, which is the best as per your knowledge and belief.

If purchasing a Suit Online

If you want options, the best place to look is always online. Nothing beats online shopping for convenience. Now go ahead and buy a suit anytime you want.

Purchasing a Suit Offline

You'll have to go to a store if you need a suit quickly. Go to a higher-end menswear store for customer service - spend 30 minutes with an expert who will study your body type and which styles and colours will suit you the best.

Suit Buying Rule #3. Choose Your Fabric

If you have the money, look for a suit made of 100% wool; it's a good quality indicator. Wool is expensive, so you'll see blends with 70%, 50%, or 30% wool. Blends are sometimes good; they can save you money. However, they are a sign of a lower-end suit; a manufacturer using blends is likely to cut corners elsewhere. If you spend more than INR 25,000, you'll get 100% wool. There needs to be a consistent system for these numbers.

Suit Buying Rule #4. Fit Is King

Custom-made outfit that fits you perfectly- go ahead and grab it. You may have to go custom if you're unusually tall, short, thin, stout, or muscular. There are certain essential areas you need to focus on to get a well-fitted suit off the rack.

Suit jacket shoulders: Only buy them if they are as per your body measurement.

Suit jacket chest size: Are you able to insert your two fists? It is far too large if you can fit two fists into the front of the blazer. A tailor can make it smaller and make the pockets and jacket look bad. What if your chest is too tight? Higher-end suits should have an inch of extra fabric in the seams so that a tailor can let it out.

Suit length: Place your arms by your sides. The jacket should reach your knuckles, plus or minus an inch. Your coat should cover your buttocks in the back. It shouldn't be any longer or any shorter.

Suit trouser length: When your trousers are longer than your legs, the excess fabric forms a 'break' or fold just above your shoes. You can wear trousers with no break, a quarter break, a half break, or a complete break. Once again, the fit is king. When purchasing an off-the-rack suit, the store should have a tailor on staff to adjust it for you.
