The number two of the Interior with the PP: “Those from Podemos had no prior records? Shit the whore!”

The messages found on Francisco Martínez's mobile phone in the Kitchen case show the maneuvers of the Rajoy Executive and his political brigade to torpedo the PSOE and Podemos negotiations for a change of government at the beginning of 2016

January 30, 2016. The talks between PSOE and Podemos for the formation of a government are in an incipient phase. The results of the general elections of the previous December 20 have opened the possibility that an agreement between both parties will unseat the Popular Party from the Executive. The Ministry of the Interior squeezes the machinery of its political brigade to be able to offer negative information about Podemos to the related media. The Secretary of State for Security writes to a prominent member of the political brigade: “Those from Podemos who had a record, were you able to confirm anything? Commissioner Enrique García Castaño answers that "nothing". "Cagüenlaputa!" exclaims Francisco Martínez.

Two weeks ago several media outlets published the PISA report (Pablo Iglesias Sociedad Anónima) , a police dossier that the courts will end up despising, but which occupies front pages and minutes on television linking Podemos with financing from Venezuela and Iran. For the Ministry of the Interior it is not enough. García Castaño is at that time the head of the Central Operational Support Unit (UCAO), in charge of monitoring, capturing sources, wiretapping... The commissioner has been fulfilling special orders from different governments for forty years . He has been involved in Operation Kitchen, in police maneuvers against Catalan separatism... and against Podemos.

García Castaño, solicitous with the Secretary of State for Security, skips the command ladder and deals directly with number two of the Interior, leaving a trail of evidence that will end up dragging the latter to a request for fifteen years in prison by Anti-corruption for the espionage operation against Bárcenas with reserved funds. García Castaño is also being prosecuted in the Kitchen case, although the serious state of health he currently suffers will probably stop the proceedings against him, as has already happened in the first trial in the Villarejo case.

Commissioner García Castaño, known in the Police as 'El Gordo', has offered Martínez information on Podemos candidates in the different constituencies in previous days. On January 30, Martínez reminds her of what he promised her. “It would be very interesting to know… And if there have been national issues related to violent extremism, etc…”.

There are almost two years left before another commissioner, José Manuel Villarejo, is arrested and evidence of the different parapolice operations during that period appears at his house. The WhatsApp chats published today by elDiario.es were, however, on Martínez's phone. The same motive that the Internal Affairs Unit overturned when they appeared at his house , together with the prosecutors, in the framework of the investigation of the Kitchen case, in March 2020.

The police officers had highlighted in their reports the outstanding messages for that separate piece on the espionage of Bárcenas, but the dirty war against Podemos or Operation Catalonia still does not find a place in the Tándem case, which judge Manuel García Castellón is instructing in the National Court . Finally they have been incorporated into the rough case, once the investigation has finished and the trial is already in sight.

"Josetxu Arrieta, the only one who belonged to ETA," the commissioner explained to the politician. Okdiario had already reported on the past of the former senator for Podemos on December 26, whom he identified as "a repentant ETA member." Arrieta explained that he joined ETA at the age of 17, still under the dictatorship, and that he benefited from the 1977 amnesty. García Castaño explains about some photos that he had previously sent to Martínez: "[He is] the last one to appear on the photos that I sent you, the Moors with those names nothing”.

The Secretary of State for Security reveals his disappointment: "I say that if the others are clean... no street violence, anarchas, etc.???". The commissioner answers: "I'll look at it again, but I think not." It is when Martínez ditch: “Cagüenlaputa! Someone has to be crappy."

The number two of the Interior asks the commissioner to look "with careful eyes" and García Castaño promises to insist on Castiñeira, alluding to the then head of the Provincial Information Brigade in Madrid, Germán Castiñeira . "He worked on them for a long time," says the head of the UCAO about his fellow commissioner.

The messages found on Martínez's phone are further proof of how the Ministry of the Interior has maneuvered against Podemos since almost its irruption, as demonstrated by the cross-checking of Villarejo's notes in his diary with proven facts [read here ] . This Monday, the newspaper El País offered other messages from Martínez with the deputy operational director of the Police, Eugenio Pino, which abound in this dirty war against the purple party and against the Catalan independence movement, consisting of obtaining unverified information that was later filtered certain media outlets at times when they considered they could harm the political adversary the most.

A few days before the aforementioned conversation, on January 20, 2016, García Castaño alludes to the Catalunya operation in his conversation with Martínez. "Don't even think about giving a medal to Salamanca [Carlos, another commissioner], Pino says that you propose it, I was the one who told Fornet to go ahead with the famous letter from the udef, do you remember?" García Castaño alludes to the dissemination, at a press conference, of an alleged UDEF report that attributed crimes to Artur Mas and other pro-independence leaders by José Manuel Sánchez Fornet, at that time general secretary of the Unified Police Union and regular collaborator by García Castaño and Villarejo.

"The Prosecutor's Office is shit sold to the left"

In this climate of negotiation for a change of government, Antena 3 had broadcast some images, on January 21, 2016, that had been taken two years earlier, on December 10, 2014, at the Madrid-Barajas airport. According to the chain, "a Venezuelan air force plane, normally used by Nicolás Maduro, arrives in Madrid to transport to Venezuela Anna Gabriel, spokesperson for the CUP in the Catalan parliament, María José Aguilar, leader of Podemos in Castilla-la Mancha, and Ignacio Gil de San Vicente, father-in-law of ETA number one David Pla and father of a terrorist detained in France”.

Four days after the information, on January 25, the commissioner and the number two of the Interior write to each other on WhatsApp.
