  1. Emissions Monitoring

An Air Quality Approval, which enables the facility to function and specifies emission limitations, must be obtained by sources of air emissions that meet or exceed defined standards. Continuous Emission Monitors (CEMs), opacity monitors that gauge smoke density, noise monitoring, and fuel quality evaluation can all be used for emissions monitoring.


  1. Ambient Monitoring

The influence of variables including temperature, sunshine, air pressure, humidity, wind, rain, and terrain are also reflected in ambient air quality, as well as the discharges of pollutants from both human activities and natural sources. Occasionally, ambient monitors are positioned close to an emission source to assist gauge the effect of the source on the local environment. The majority of air quality sampling equipment is made to test just one chemical. For instance, nitrogen oxide cannot be sampled by a sulphur dioxide metre. To test for each individual substance in the air, specialised equipment is required.
