India is one of the largest exporters of rice in the world. Rice is a staple food in many countries, and India has been exporting rice to various parts of the world for many years. The rice export from India is largely driven by the demand for Basmati rice, a long-grain aromatic rice that is highly prized for its unique flavor and aroma.According to the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), India exported around 11.95 million metric tons of rice in the financial year 2020-21.
