The Efficiency Velocity Baseball Training Programs

Baseball injury rates are still rising at an alarming rate, even with the medical community paying more attention to them. Pitching velocity has become more important in the sport's present status, even at the amateur and young levels.

Using weighted baseballs is a popular training technique to increase pitching velocity. Excitement and popularity, like anything else, frequently come before our scientific comprehension. Our baseball training programs show that the effectiveness of weighted baseball training has increased recently, even though there is still more to discover. Our velocity baseball training involves scientific understanding, which is summed up in this clinical perspective.

Do Baseballs with Weights Increase Velocity?

Most people will probably agree that heavier balls increase speed, but this merits more discussion. In our baseball training programs, we found that a group of high school athletes utilizing weighted balls improved their pitching velocity by 3.3% more than a control group.

Our analysis of the data revealed that many of the individuals in the control group also improved and that not everyone increased velocity. In the weighted ball group, 80% of participants increased their velocity, 8% showed no change, and 12% showed a reduction.

Additionally, 67% of participants in the velocity baseball training programs increased their velocity, while 19% showed no change, and 14 actually decreased. Thus, although some people may be able to increase their velocity with the use of weighted balls, others may experience a decrease in velocity. This might be largely attributed to the diverse interpretations of what constitutes a "weighted ball" training regimen.

The Safety Major In The Ultimate Baseball Training Programs

TS Baseball Academy provides the ultimate baseball training and improves performance by considering the safety essentials with weighted balls and understanding the scientific major of velocity. However, it's also critical to do so in a method that doesn't markedly raise the risk of injury. We found that over 25% of participants in our prospective trial on weighted ball training had an elbow or shoulder injury.

The majority of injuries happened after the velocity baseball training, not during the baseball season. This is the only research that has followed athletes following a program to date. This aligns with our personal experiences and those of others.

In light of what we now know, this makes sense. We are aware that hurling weighted balls puts additional strain on the joints. They do, as we know, enhance the external rotation of the shoulder. We are aware that while doing so might boost velocity, it also puts more strain on the arm.

Conclusion

We must ensure the program receives an appropriate dose when an action closes to breaking the soft tissue's integrity. It's not better to have more. If we are going to use a baseball training program that strains our physiological boundaries, we must exercise considerably greater caution, adhere to scientific principles, and apply for the program precisely.
