The system accommodates both capillary and packed columns, with column lengths ranging from 100 to 500 mm and diameters from 0.2 to 0.5 mm. It operates in a temperature range from just above room temperature (5°C) up to 450°C, with a maximum programmed heating speed of 120°C per minute. The precise temperature control is further supported by seven programmable temperature steps and a fine temperature setting precision of 1°C, allowing incremental adjustments in heating rates from 0.1 to 120°C per minute. The furnace dimensions are 280 × 300 × 180 mm, offering a compact yet efficient design.

The system offers multiple detectors, each with specific capabilities for different detection needs:

  • FID (Flame Ionization Detector): With a maximum temperature control of 400°C, it offers a low limit of detection (LOD) of ≤ 5 × 10¹² g/s and a wide linear dynamic range of ≥ 10⁷.
  • TCD (Thermal Conductivity Detector): Also featuring 400°C temperature control, its LOD is ≥ 10,000 mv.ml/mg with a linear dynamic range of ≥ 10⁴.
  • FPD (Flame Photometric Detector): With maximum temperature control of 250°C, it detects phosphorus (LOD ≤ 2 × 10⁻¹³ g/s) and sulfur (LOD ≤ 5 × 10⁻¹¹ g/s).
  • ECD (Electron Capture Detector): Controls up to 350°C and boasts an exceptional LOD of ≤ 1 × 10⁻¹⁴ g/ml for sensitive detection.
  • NPD (Nitrogen-Phosphorus Detector): Controls up to 400°C, offering excellent sensitivity for phosphorus (LOD ≤ 5 × 10⁻¹³ g/s) and nitrogen compounds (LOD ≤ 1 × 10¹² g/s).
  • PDHID (Pulsed Discharge Helium Ionization Detector): Features an LOD of ≤ 5 ppb, making it highly sensitive for trace level detection.

The system also includes advanced functionality, such as an LCD display for monitoring test parameters, self-diagnosis and keyboard locking functions, and the ability to store data even during power loss. Its high stability and sensitivity, coupled with a stable and rapid furnace heating program, ensure that the LabExpo Gas Chromatography System delivers consistent and reproducible results across a variety of complex applications.
