Applying for a Portugal visa? Here’s everything you need to know about the documents to make your application process smooth and easy. Follow this guide to ensure your documents are complete and ready. General Documents:
- Portugal Visa Application Form
Submit a fully completed and signed online Portugal visa application form.
- Valid Passport and UK Residence Permit
Your passport must have at least 2 blank pages and be valid for at least 3 months beyond your stay in Portugal or any other Schengen country. A valid UK residence permit is also required.
- Passport Photos
Attach 2 recent passport photos to your application form. Photos must show your full face, against a light background.
- Accommodation
Provide hotel bookings or other accommodation that covers your entire stay in Portugal. This is essential to prove where you’ll be staying.
- Travel Insurance
Your travel medical insurance should cover at least €30,000 and be valid for Portugal and all other Schengen countries.
- Transportation
You must provide travel details such as flight tickets, train tickets or driving license with vehicle registration number.
- Return Ticket Reservation
Attach a copy of your return ticket reservation to prove you’ll be leaving Portugal at the end of your visit.
- Travel Itinerary and Cover Letter
State the purpose of your travel in a cover letter. If you’re visiting family, include an invitation letter from your host, along with their passport copy and any other relevant information.
