Movies I’m Truly Looking Forward To: Stories That Feel Bigger Than the Screen
Films have always been so much more to me than just a source of entertainment. They are moments of escape times of reflection and ways of connection. When I think about films coming up in the future I really don't think about action or visuals but, instead about stories that have lived in my head long after the credits roll on. Currently there are five upcoming movies that genuinely excite me because each one promises something meaningful emotional or unforgettable .
The first is The Mandalorian and Grogu 2026. For some reason this story feels special it is not only about adventure in a galaxy far, far away but also about connection and responsibility. Din Djarin and Grogu share a bond that seems deeply human even in a science fiction setting . What I love most is how the growth of their relationship occurs quietly through loyalty protection, and trust. In a universe full of chaos their story reminds me that to care for someone can be the strongest force of all.

Then there is the Odyssey a story which has survived centuries for a reason it was a long journey home full of struggle temptation and loss. That's exactly what makes this story so real because getting back to where you belong is never easy. Odysseus faces challenges not just from monsters and gods but from his own choices and weaknesses. What really excites me about this film is that great stories never age and humanity will always react to the same kinds of emotions no matter what century it happens to be.
Another film that I am deeply curious about is Dune Part Three. The story of Dune is not of war or any power but of the danger of destiny itself. Paul Atreides has come to gain control and with such power consequences cannot be shunned. What truly interests me most is how leadership, belief and sacrifice in this story are questioned. Thoughtful serious and heavy like those types of movies that make you think rather than just watch.
Then comes SpiderMan Brand New Day and it's an extremely personal film when compared with the other superheroes that have been made into films. This particular storyline highlights the journey of Peter Parker as he begins his new life as SpiderMan alone and unnoticed by anyone. No fame no glory no safety net all alone with his responsibilities as SpiderMan. This particular SpiderMan film resonates with me on all counts since it portrays SpiderMan dealing with his day to day life by doing the right thing despite all his hardships, and that strength isn’t all about being powerful all the time since some days it is about going on when no one else gets to see it.

Lastly there’s Avengers Doomsday 2006, a concept that entails a colossal turning point in the lives of the world’s most powerful superheroes. It’s the message of unity that enhances the concept and not merely the magnitude of the danger threatening them. When all is lost an individual’s difference becomes inconsequential and this story symbolizes the importance of team effort sacrifice and the fact that in the victory nobody wins alone because in this imaginative universe it rings quite familiar.
Collectively they are various elements of storytelling connection journey, power, responsibility and unity. While there are stories that are big and exciting there are also those that are smaller and more emotional. However they are all a big reason why I started loving movies to begin with. They open doors to new worlds yet they can also give me a better perspective of myself.
I eagerly anticipate watching these movies. But then I also eagerly anticipate how they might make me feel inspired, thoughtful, emotional or perhaps even hopeful. In the end this as noted is the power that all good films have they linger with you after the credits finish rolling on the last scene.
