
Being a former Outlook user I have observed that there’re two most common errors which comes several times when PST not opened. In this post I am going to share both errors with solutions so that you can deal with common PST errors easily in future. Note that Outlook PST can be corrupt due to virus, software, and hardware reasons.
PST error 0x800ccc13: This error belongs to registry so you have to check the Windows Registry to fix this error after delete command.
- Open search box and type regedit. Click “OK”.
- Click “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” -> “Microsoft folder” -> “Current version folder”.
- Then, open “Run” folder and click “Outlook 2013 error 0x800ccc13 file”.
- Then, delete this folder and “Restart” the computer.
PST “CRC” error: To fix this you have to check the hard disk. Follow the given steps to process:
- Press Windows + R buttons and type cmd in the box and OK.
- Type chkdsk/f in the opened command prompt and press “Enter”.
- You will get the message “The type of the file system is NTFS, cannot lock current drive” which means the chkdsk cannot perform as the volume used by other process.
- And, a message display i.e would you like to schedule this volume to be checked next time the system restarts? (Y/N). Now, press Y and restart the system.
