The new commercial payload is all set to carry the mission by SpaceX to the moon, which is expected to launch in the first quarter of the following year.
The company’s founder Elon Musk announced on the social media platform ‘Twitter’ about the mission’s payment mode, which will be accepted in cryptocurrency Dogecoin.
The cryptocurrency ‘Dogecoin’ is a meme-inspired concept allegedly implied for the payment mode via space corporation.
There was a time when Dogecoin sponsored NASCAR racer appeared, and now it is launching the ‘Doge’ spacecraft to the moon.
However, there is sufficient information about the mission, which will be carried on the Falcon 9 rocket, which will launch 88 pounds of the miniature satellite, which is given the name ‘Cubesat.’ One of the statements also said that the payload would be getting the lunar-spatial intelligence from cameras and sensors onboard with the help of computational systems and integrated communications.
As Elon Musk also tweeted on April 1, 2021- “SpaceX is going to put a literal Dogecoin on the literal moon.” Some people may have taken it as a part of the April Fools day prank, whereas Musk officially released a statement about the next lunar mission to the moon funded with Dogecoin, and it came as a shock to the people.According to the information tracked on CoinGecko.com about crypto data, the value of Dogecoin has raised over 800% during the last month, and now it is known as the fourth largest among digital currency with $73 billion of market capitalization.
