It is a union of the activated sludge process with micro filtration and ultra filtration. It is a powerful tool for industrial water treatment and water reuse.
  • SBR - Sequencing batch reactors treat wastewater. They use biological aeration and settling tank. These systems wipe entering wastewater over a number of series. Here, wastewater is added to a lone reactor which works in a batch treatment mode repeating a series constantly.

Anaerobic and Aerobic treatment of Sewage:

  • Anaerobic Treatment - It is a well organized process in which microorganisms convert organic matter present in the wastewater into biogas and the process takes place in the absence of oxygen. To attain this oxygen-free environment, the arrival of air into anaerobic tanks is stopped. This process proffers some advantages, including less sludge production. The sludge is steady and secure to apply as a soil booster.
  • Aerobic Treatment - This treatment takes place in presence of oxygen and in this microorganisms turn organics into carbon dioxide and new biomass. In this process, air is circulated everywhere in order to cause bacteria that break down waste within the wastewater. It can be used to remove nitrogen. These systems play a necessary role in wastewater treatment processes.
