Steps to turn on tablet mode:

1.    Open the ‘Action Center’ menu by clicking on the Action Center icon at the lower right corner of the screen.

2.    Look for the ‘Tablet Mode’ button or tile into the menu. It is near the left-hand side of the menu.

3.    Click on the ‘Tablet Mode’ to activate the feature. When the button turns blue, it means the feature is enabled.

Steps to turn off tablet mode:

Disabling the tablet mode is just the reverse of the enabling process. Repeat the above three step to turn the tablet mode off. This time when you click the ‘Tablet mode’ button in the quick action menu, it will turn back to black, that means the feature is disabled.

If you don’t find the Tablet mode button or tile into the quick action menu, try another way. Here it is.

1.    Click on the ‘Start or Windows’ icon.

2.    Click the ‘Settings’ icon. It is at the left bottom side of the start menu located just above the power button.

3.    Select ‘System.’

4.    Then select ‘Notifications & actions’ from the left pane.

5.    Click on ‘Add or remove quick actions’ blue color text in the right side pane.

6.    Now, scroll down and find the tablet mode into the actions list.

7.    When you find it, click the slider button next to the tablet mode to turn it on (blue).

Tablet mode button will be added to the quick actions menu. Now, you can turn it on or off whenever you want.

How to customize the Sign-in options in tablet mode

If you want that tablet mode will be activated automatically, whenever you’ll log in to your Windows 10 PC, then follow these steps.

1.    Click on the ‘Start or Windows’ icon.

2.    Click the ‘Settings’ icon. It is at the left bottom side of the start menu located just above the power button.

3.    Select ‘System.’

4.    Select the ‘Tablet Mode’ from the left pane.

5.    Click the dropdown button of ‘When I sign in.’

6.    A menu will come up, with the options.

7.    Select ‘Use tablet mode.’

You can select any option according to your choice or device. Next time when you’ll sign in to your Windows 10 device, it will start with your chosen mode.

How to customize the settings for auto tablet mode

How to customize the taskbar of tablet mode

You can hide the taskbar as well as application icons in the Windows 10 tablet mode. Here’s how.

Steps to hide the taskbar:

1.    Open ‘Settings’.

2.    Select ‘System.’

3.    Select ‘Tablet Mode.’

4.    Turn on (blue) the switch of ‘Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode.’

Steps to hide app icons:

1.    Open ‘Settings’.

2.    Select ‘System.’

3.    Select ‘Tablet Mode.’

4.    Turn on (blue) the switch of ‘Hide app icons from the taskbar in tablet mode.’

Now, you’ll see the changes you’ve done will be applied in the tablet mode. You can reverse the changes whenever you want.
