What Causes Tinnitus and Ringing in the Ears

Imagine experiencing buzzing in Sonus Complete Review the ears nonstop and loud. Think back to when your ears started ringing and how irritating it was. What if they didn't stop ringing. If you suffer from tinnitus like I have then you know of the pain tinnitus causes. There are many reasons why many of us have tinnitus. Many of us have tried various solutions including drugs, surgery, masking, diet, etc. I used to think how my life would be if the buzzing in the ears stopped or even lightened up a bit. I knew I would have a new appreciation for silence and a good nights sleep.

I was never a person who struggled with depression until the onset of tinnitus. The T resulted in sleep deprivation, lack of appetite, lack of joy and all of the other symptoms of depression. My tinnitus was the result of playing in bands for many years and also listening to music at high levels. Pete Townshend, the guitarist for The Who is a tinnitus sufferer. He says his tinnitus wasn't caused by the loud live performances but by headphones used in the studio and listening for enjoyment.

It's now believed that MP3 players come with a real tinnitus risk as they are more powerful than headphones and hold such a large amount of music. Even more threatening is that they are used nonstop. When people listened to radios, boom boxes etc. they weren't able to have them available all of the time. MP3 players can be listened to while driving, working, exercising all the waking hours. The MP3 is also right in your ear and is often played extremely loud.

MP3 users can do a few things to lessen the chances of a future that includes buzzing in the ears. Don't use an MP3 for long periods of time. Many experts say a maximum of 1 hour a day but at least give your ears a rest now and then. It doesn't take a lot to affect your hearing so don't play it too loud. Moderate the volume and reduce the chances of permanent damage. If you notice that you sometimes have ringing or buzzing in the ears, stop using your MP3 for a while and see if that makes a difference.
