Does Exercise Alone May Prevent and Control Cancer?

Approximately there are 43 million cancer survivors worldwide and there is a tremendous need to overcome health issues of people living with and beyond cancer and enlightening awareness in them the power of exercises which could help to prevent and control cancer said by Schmitz, who is also a member of the Penn State Cancer Institute.

Schmitz further added by saying that “This honoured, multidisciplinary group of leaders who are bringing the practice of exercise oncology a new platform of preventing this dreadful problem.

They are dealing seriously in translating the latest scientific evidence into practical recommendations for clinicians and the public and also creating global impact through a cohesive voice.

With respect to the potential of the patient’s activity levels and abilities, the researchers recommend 30 minutes of moderately intense aerobic exercise three times a week and 20 to 30 minutes of resistance exercise twice a week.

Schmitz further said the second section of the initiative is its resources and programs to help get people with and beyond cancer moving (Exercise to Prevent Cancer).

One of the approaches to know about the exercises was exploring through the Cancer website which has exercise program registry facilities that can help patients, families, health care providers and others find programs near them.
