Judo Mats

While many martial arts at the time were focused on striking, katas, and weapons, Judo emphasized throwing techniques and ground techniques such as pins, chokes, and joint locks. Their Judo Throwing techniques are further broken down by standing and sacrifice throws, the later being when the thrower sacrifices his own balance to complete the throw. Although there are striking techniques in Judo referred to as Atemi-waza, it’s not what Judo is best known for. How to Grapple takes the best Judo videos from Youtube and organizes them for viewers by technique. Learn Judo and all the grappling arts at https://howtograpple.

It is an ancient fight form that developed in Japan but now it is quite popular in the whole world. If you can find a gi with a rubberized collar, it allows for faster drying and reduces bacterial growth from sweat. Some of the lightest uniforms on the market only weigh in at about 3 pounds, and having a very lightweight judo gi uniform can also make the fluidity of your movement, fighting, and actions easier and more comfortable during competitions or training. Nowadays, however, with all of the different weaves, you can still get a soft gi without sacrificing too much in durability. As far as BJJ gis or kimonos go, when you are selecting one, you will also want to pick one that appeals to you.
