At times it may also happen that there are not a lot of pedestrians and the crossing may be empty but due to the already set timer, cars still wait at the signal to change which in turn cause more traffic jams and pollution on a regular basis. It does not take much for a mishap to occur in this case as one might be tempted to run the signal thus probably causing harm to other people. The current solutions that are available do not possess that kind of intelligence when it comes to sensing movement on the crossings which leads to more traffic jams and pollution. Radar sensors have been introduced to address this major area of concern. Traffic lights are being integrated with radar sensors which would in turn change the green and red signals intelligently.
