Take calcium supplements. The British Journal of Nutrition conducted a new study that found that once women begin getting 1,200 milligrams of calcium daily, they lose four times more weight than those who didn't take calcium supplements. The explanation for this is that a shortage of calcium sets off a chain reaction in the body that can make fat hard to lose.
