Powerful Chanakya Teachings That Every Rummy Player Should Know

Chanakya who is also known as Kautilya or Vishnu Gupta was a renowned teacher, philosopher, and royal adviser. He documented most of his teachings in his book titled Arthashashtra. These teachings are on life but can surely be applied to a game like online rummy. Let’s see how one applies those after you download rummy to play.

  • Before you start some work, always ask yourself three questions-Why am I doing it, what the results might be, and will I be successful? Only when you think deeply and find satisfactory answers to these questions, go ahead. Even while playing rummy a person should be clear about these three factors. This will help them have a practical approach to analyze their chances.
  • Learn from the mistakes of others, you cannot live long enough to make them all yourselves. Even in rummy, you must know how to play rummy but learning from others' mistakes will help a player identify his/her weaknesses.
  • A person should not be too honest. Straight trees are cut first. In rummy’s context while it is good to play the game honestly but a rummy player with no knowledge of how to bluff the opponent will struggle to progress. Rummy is a game where players are ruthless. A player needs to balance his game and implement tactics to increase his chances of winning in the game.
  • The king shall lose no time when the opportunity waited to arrives. While playing rummy a good player identifies and makes a move at the correct time. To be in the game one shouldn’t wait for too long for the right opportunity, instead, create it.
  • We should not fret for what is past, nor should we be anxious about the future; men of discernment deal only in the present moment. In a game like rummy, a negative thought or being too obsessed about your wrong moves in the past will pull you further down. A player needs to accept those mistakes and focus on the game at hand because only that’s something a player can control.
  • He who is prepared for the future and he who deals cleverly with any situation that may arise are both happy, but the fatalistic man who wholly depends on luck is ruined. This applies most to a game like rummy. Just being too dependent on luck can never be good for a player in the long run. To get desired results, constant improvement in your game is far more important than trying to control the uncontrollable aspects. Hence, discipline, hard work, and perseverance are the most important qualities to win in rummy rather than luck.
