Today i'm going to discuss the secret to getting your ebay listing templates to sell and the main reason why some ebay sellers are able to get hundreds or thousands of sales for a certain product while other sellers struggle to get any at all okay so the thumbnail of this article was not clickbait here were two listings for the exact same product “GENUINE BMW M POWER PERFORMANCE MULTI TOOL KEY RING 80282454750” on ebay one being sold for Ten dollars and eighty five cents and then one being sold for seven dollars and ninety cents both sellers have over twenty thousand feedback on their account so there's really no difference between each listing just at a first glance except for the fact that the one on the left has sold 997 units while the one on the right has struggled to sell more than 20.
 
In this article i'm going to explain why that is and hopefully provide some value for you guys that you can take away and use in your own ebay templates listings whether you sell imported replenishable products like this or if you're a reseller who sells one-off products this is going to be applicable for all of those different business models i'm going to be explaining the secret to getting ebay listings to sell okay so what is the secret well in my opinion it is adding value in your listings and there's a number of different ways that you can do that the purpose of this article is for me to go through the different ways that large sellers are able to add value in their listings and make the items that they are selling incredibly attractive to buyers even when there are hundreds of competitors selling the exact same item like in the case of this KEY RING.

some sellers are able to provide certain value that mean that they get hundreds of sales whereas other sellers just aren't providing that value and i'm going to show you why today to explain the first way that you can provide more value in your ebay listings i've actually gone back to one of the listings in my public ebay store ebay listing template design this is a KEY RING i used one that i listed just yesterday and the particular method of providing value that i'm going to discuss here is answering buyers questions within your ebay listing so they don't have to ever ask them now the easiest way that you can find what these questions are is look at what buyers are often asking you about your items i've bought this item.

Up as an example because i was often getting asked for certain measurements of the items that i was selling the KEY RINGs so i decided to get ahead of that question and avoid further questions in that regard by including the measurements in my listing so i've included the chest measurement here which is 60 centimeters and then also the length of the KEY RING now i've been doing that for over a year now and it saved me so much time not having to answer those messages but also it's just made my listings much more attractive to buyers because it removes that extra step for them now maybe they were interested in the item but the extra step of having to ask me what the measurements were was just too much of a hassle so therefore they would go and purchase from a different seller who has that information in the listing instead since i have that information there i've been able to get way more sales so the first way that you can provide value in your ebay template generator listings and be ahead of competing sellers is answer the questions that your buyers may have within the listing so they don't have to ask them so obviously if you don't sell clothes that

Wouldn't apply to you but going back to this KEY RING scrolling down this is the listing that's got almost a thousand sales as you can see in this picture here the full dimensions of this item have been included and not just that but also different places that this item may fit for the potential buyer and that removes another step from the buying process for the buyer because they don't have to think will this item fit in my pocket or my bag if it's a kid buying it maybe they don't have that frame of reference in their head for how big an item that is four by eight centimeters is and they can't really approximate it but they can see in the lower half of the image where the item will fit and again that's another step in the buying process that this seller has removed okay next i wanted to talk about another way that you can provide value within your ebay listings and that is social proof now in terms of ebay template design or e-commerce more broadly social proof refers to using the grouped opinion of others in order to persuade a buyer to purchase from you so a buyer seeing that you have a high feedback rating and a lot of feedback and that also the product that you're selling has 100 buyer satisfaction that is a form of social proof now there's not a lot of shortcuts to get a high amount of feedback and that high feedback score is really only maintained by maintaining the customer service in your ebay store but there are other methods of getting social proof on ebay this 100 buyer satisfaction metric here only refers to the fact that nobody who has purchased this item has left negative feedback for it that's really easy to do once you've gotten at least a few sales another way that this seller is using social proof is within this listing template here where they say that they're a top-rated seller which is true even though they don't have 100 feedback they do have a lot of feedback and it is over 99 and also here they're using pictures of people using the product that they are selling which just adds to that social proof because they can see that people are using the product and enjoying it scrolling right down to the bottom of the listing here the seller states that they pride themselves in providing premium quality products at low prices and they always provide 100 satisfaction guarantee to their customers so buyers can see this here and think well even though they don't have 100 positive feedback their feedback is very high and they do have this 100 satisfaction guarantee so it's quite likely that this seller will help the buyer if there are any issues okay going back to the top listings for this item here the next way that you can add value to your ebay listing is playing to your strengths so i went back to show you here something that all five of the top ranking listings actually do have in common here and that is the australian flag now hopefully none of these sellers are drop shippers and they are located in my country australia and therefore they're using that strength to their advantage by advertising the fact that they are australian sellers not only here in the main image on the listing but also scrolling down here they state that they're an australian owned company there and then if you scroll all the way down to the bottom in that little blurb there they say that oz firefly which is the username is 100 australian owned and operated this is obviously incredibly important on ebay and the main reason for this is that people want to know that the item will be shipped to them quickly and the fact that the seller is based in the same country as buyers that is going to give them that assurance also many buyers do like supporting local businesses but i feel like that's very much.

That they would buy from a domestic seller i would go one step further than this guys if you live in a major city then i would see no harm in advertising that in your listing for example this seller is based in sydney which is one of the biggest cities in australia and i've seen a lot of very large sellers advertising the fact that they're shipping out of sydney in their ebay template builder listings so no matter where you are in the world as long as you're based in a reasonably large city i would definitely consider using that as an advertising point sure there may be a small amount of buyers who get turned off by it if they live on the other side of the country from you but i feel it would have a net positive impact in sales and also you most likely depending on where you are in the world get cheaper shipping rates to buyers who in the same city as you or nearby to you so that would also increase the amount of orders that you get to nearby locations okay for this next method of providing value in an ebay listing we're going to go back to comparing the two listings from the start here we're going to talk about how you can use keywords the particular words that you use in your ebay titles to get more sales this is probably not a foreign concept to you guys if you're watching this article obviously it matters greatly what you put in your ebay titles possibly even more so than other online sales platforms because unlike google shopping ebay search only draws results from the title of a listing not the description and we're just going to quickly compare the difference between each listing and the one thing that sticks out right here for me is that this adhd search term which is obviously something that a lot of people suffer from is used in the listing that is generating a lot of sales and also this listing does use the term autism which again is something that a lot of people suffer from and therefore no doubt is helping this listing get more sales traffic now there are a couple of different ways that you can find what specific keywords you should be using in your ebay titles i like to use zeek analytics title builder feature which is available with their basic plan as shown here this adhd search term has a bunch of different short and then long tail search terms that are getting a high amount of average search volume so no doubt including some of these terms along with this phrase would increase the amount of traffic that your ebay listing would get some similar terms are fidget and stress relief sensory toys which are all terms that were used in that previous listing so i would hazard a guess that that seller is actually using zeek analytics to form their ebay titles as always i will have a link for zeek analytics in the description of this article where you can try zeke for seven days for only one dollar as always though guys the completely free method of building a successful ebay title is simply copying and pasting the title of an existing best-selling listing and simply changing one or two keywords to try and figure out what works and that segues nicely into my final and most important tip for adding more value to your ebay template listings and that simply is never stop testing as i've said in a few of my articles now ebay is of course a marathon and not a splint and there were dozens if not hundreds of different things that you can change about an ebay listing in order to try and get more sales just look at the meticulous detail that this seller has gone into in order to get almost a thousand sales on this listing they're running an eight percent volume discount for when buyers purchase more than one of these things each of the images of the different skus that they are selling are watermarks meaning that other sellers can't just whip them they're running a sale here which i would hazard to guess is a fake or a false sale because i don't think this
