Details, Fiction and Team building

What is team building? Team building is the deliberate forming of bonds using interactive platforms such as computers, the internet and video games. Online team building games include any online games you can engage in to increase collaboration and team spirit among employees. The most common examples of these games online are Online Office Games, Spreadsheets and Virtual Charades. You can use team building exercises to improve productivity, reduce workplace conflicts or to encourage growth in your organization. Get more information about Virtual Game Night

Online games make it easy for teams to collaborate on problems. Team building exercises that use computer technology and video have now reached a whole new level of sophistication and complexity. An example of an online team building game is where players have to click on a person to answer a trivia question like "Who did President Obama say during his first day as president?" The players can alternate answers from one person to five, depending on the number of clicks are needed to reach the correct answer.

These online team building exercises may have been observed in action recently. A Discovery Channel team was invited to simulate the experience of a mission in Africa online. Two of the participants were given binoculars, a list of things they'd need carry with them, and an outline of their region. One player was located in the United States while the other was in South America. They couldn't see each other, however they could shift their eyes from one place on the screen to the next over the Internet and see each other almost perfectly.

Teams were also required to design an advertising campaign within the same series. The viewers were able to observe the various companies attempting to create the best advertisement. Each team was given a limited amount of time to design the most effective advertising.

The next game involved teams playing the game known as lightning hunts. Again, there were teams that were situated at opposite ends of the country as well as teams that were linked in different ways. Each group was briefed about the mission and given a list with tasks and an estimated time limit. The teams then did some "lightning searches" throughout the day. At the end of the day, teams that did the most searches were the winners.

Companies are discovering that remote teams can be used in training and other applications, including online team building. One company that is doing just that is Keespo the world's leader in emergency preparedness and response. When natural disasters strike, it's nice to know that certain sections of our country have up-to-date well-trained and trained teams. Keespo provides emergency services as well as medical services. They work well together and are able to take part in training using Keespo flashcards.

Another company that has experienced the benefits of using of remote teams is Citibank. Their online exercise program, CICR is available to every member of their employee community. Employees can access the CICR lessons from their homes. It is a tool that can be utilized by anyone, anyplace. All it takes is access to a computer and an Internet connection. It doesn't matter if the lesson is taught online. You can immediately practice it.

The most well-known online escape games are ones where the participant is on their own and must solve a puzzle or escape from a restricted space. Many groups have discovered online escape games to be extremely popular. These games can be played for stress relief or to improve teamwork skills and problem-solving skills, etc. Whatever your objective is, there's likely to be online escape games or other exercises for team building that could assist you in achieving it.
