How To Set Up Your Airport Extreme Using Apple Utility?

The airport is Apple’s term for wireless, from the techs built into the Mac to its lineup of routers and base stations. You may also have heard of the Airport from the pre-installed utility hidden away in the apps folder: apple airport utility.
This guide will see the basics of Airport Utility, including setting up an Airport base station from scratch and how to configure or restrict access. Now, as you know, what is airport utility, let's move to the setup section.

Set Up An Airport Extreme Or Time Capsule

When it comes to setting up the new Airport Extreme or time capsule, Airport utility is the application that handles that given process. Before you begin, first make sure you have the latest version of the windows 10 airport utility by checking the updates tab in the app store.

Make sure the new Airport device is plugged into a power source and, if applicable, turn it on. Launch the Airport Utility from the utility sub-folder inside the apps folder. The Airport Utility will then attempt to connect to the Airport device, though this may take some time.

When the Airport device has been detected, the factory-preset name will show up under other Wi-Fi devices. Now, click this and select the device from the list that shows up for airport utility setup.

Airport Utility will then collect the information about any nearby networks. If this process takes some time, do not worry, that is normal. Once the Airport Utility has gathered the information, three options will be available, based on how you want the Airport base station to act as part of the network setup.

● Create a new network: this option will make the Airport base station run its network that can be connected independently. Useful if you are using the device to make a wired internet connection available wirelessly.

● Add to an existing network: this option will show you the Airport base station to join an existing WiFi network to connect the new devices or extend its reach.

● Replace an existing device: this option will help you to replace the existing Airport device or another non-apple router with the new base station entirely.

By default, the Airport Utility will start the startup process as if you wanted to follow the first option, create a new network. If preferred, change this by clicking other options, selecting the other option, and clicking the next button. You can have airport utility download windows setup as well. If you face issues such as airport utility windows 10 not detecting, then go for tech assistance to resolve the issue.
