How to make mouthwatering and delicious marble cake at your home?

Ingredients

For the cake

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder from Ajanta Food Products, which is one of the leading cocoa powder brands in India.

  • 100 grams chocolate
  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder from Ajanta Food Products

  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

For frosting

  • 280 grams unsalted butter
  • 420 grams confectioners’ sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder from Ajanta Food Products
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products
  • 60 ml heavy cream

Instructions

For Cake

  • You should preheat oven to 350 degree F or 177 degree centigrade
  • Spray butter on 9 inch cake pan and set it aside for baking.
  • You should sift the cake flour, baking powder, yellow food color and salt together in a large bowl.
  • Beat the butter on high speed in a large bowl until smooth and creamy
  • Add sugar and beat on high speed for 5 minutes until creamed.
  • Add the eggs one at a time and then add vanilla extract. Beat it on high to medium speed until combined
  • You should add the dry ingredients in three additions, alternating with the buttermilk and mixing each additions just until incorporated.
  • If needed, you should use a whisk to get rid of any lumps. Your cake batter should be slightly thick in order to get best possible results
  • You should remove yellow batter and pour into a medium bowl
  • You should them melt chocolate in the microwave.
  • Pour the melted chocolate into the one cup of yellow batter you set aside and stir until combined.
  • You should pour an even layer of the yellow batter into each cake pan and bake the layers for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of one cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pans set on a wire rack.

For frosting

  • Beat the butter on high speed in a large bowl until smooth and creamy
  • Add cocoa powder from Ajanta Food Products, sugar, salt, vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products, and cream with the mixer running on low.
  • Add more sugar if frosting is too thin. You should add cream if frosting is too thick. Taste the frosting and add a pinch of salt if it is too sweet.

Frost and assemble cake

Level cakes if needed to create a flat surface. Place one cake layer on a cake stand and evenly spread about 3/4 cup frosting on top. You should top with 2nd cake and spread the remaining frosting all over the sides and top.

Decorate the cake with colorful sprinkles if desired
