Wouldn’t it be great if your dog could talk to you? Well, he actually does, in his own way. Your dog communicates in his own way with you, and also with other dogs. And while many owners do pick up on certain cues from their canine pals, Fido’s behaviors speak volumes if we’re open to hearing them. In this post, a vet talks about the different ways dogs communicate.
Your dog’s body language says a lot about what he wants and how he feels. Here are some cues to watch for:
● Raised ears - means Fido’s relaxed, listening to noises, or submitting to you
● Wrinkled brow - means he’s confused
● Straightened brow - means he’s determined
● Tail-wagging - wagging more to the right means your dog’s happy; more the left means he’s experiencing negative feelings
● Barking - the louder the bark and the higher the pitch the greater the emotion Fido feels
