Different types of NGO's in India

Even if we want to help people who are in need, we are not able to do it on a large scale. For those reasons, NGO’s exists. There is whole list of registered NGO in West Bengal who serve the underprivileged people internationally. Like JPS International, apart from providing their services to the whole of the state of West Bengal, they have also provided services to the deprived sections of people in Nepal. All of us are aware of the concept of Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), but there are alot of different types of NGO'S in existence which is divided into two categories

·        NGO based on the Level of operation

This category consists of NGO's based on the level of their operation which means that the NGO’s serve the people of society at different level. To explain it even better, this category is further divided into-

·        NGO based on a community level

They serve the people on a community level. They serve women about the menstrual health and impart education to the children of the community who cannot afford it. The way a proper business has target audience for which the products and services are made, likewise the NGO also has target audience in the form of their community.

·        NGO based on Serving Citywide

As the term, suggests-it serves the people who are underprivileged citywide. These types of NGO's serve the groups which are deprived. Like in West Bengal, JPS volunteers serve the Under-privileged people of the city of West Bengal.

·        NGO based on serving the nation

They work for serving the people on large scale that means they are there to serve the nation as a whole. These types of NGO’s do not just serve the people of a particular state, but they serve for the whole nations.

·        NGO serving internationally

They are the ones who serve people across the borders. Amongst the list of registered NGOs in West Bengal, JPS International is an NGO which is also serving internationally. It has it's a branch in Nepal where the NGO organises dental camps for school students and teachers.

There are many other bases on which the NGO's are divided. Like -Animal welfare NGO, Old age home, Disaster relief NGO, Environment conservation NGO-all of these NGO's might have different purposes but all of them are connected while they are serving our society only, and are working for the betterment for the society as a whole.
