Machine Learning and Automation

Artificial Intelligence can’t really think by themselves Yet! But many of these systems have the behavior of rethinking like the language recognition in many of the devices nowadays. All of the major companies nowadays are running in the race of automation that would help automate many of the tasks and maybe take over some of the men's jobs and eventually these will create new job opportunities for managing these automation tasks but still, there are a lot of confusions in people’s mind about automation and the basics of automation.

The most common confusion is will programming be automated? And are Machine Learning and Automations two different things?

So let’s talk about these and solve these confusions.

Machine Learning and Automation

Let’s start with the basic difference between machine learning and automation, and the difference is that these two are completely different things. Machine Learning is a stage where an application would collect data, analyze it, make decisions and improve the app. On the other hand, automation refers to designing the workflows to speed up the tasks.

Often Artificial Intelligence is confused with automation, but that's a completely different thing.

In today's busy world, most of our daily tasks are automated that we don't even think that the task is automated e.g Automated email marketing campaign is a great example of automation on the other hand who and when to send an email is decided via Machine Learning in most of the latest marketing software.

Here you can analyze the basic difference between machine learning and automation, that Automation is the basic task and Machine Learning is the later stage development task.

Reading all these basics may have confused Automation with Artificial Intelligence, but these are completely two different things.

People associate automation with Technology these days, but automation has already been there for a long time even in ancient times, automation would refer to the creation of wheels to automate animal cargoes. Whereas Artificial Intelligence refers to running a specific task, again and again, testing it, improving it, and making decisions.

Are machines going to take over human jobs? And will programming be automated?

No, Machine learning is not going to take over human jobs but in fact, this will create a lot more opportunities for humans because there are always two types of people one who are the creators and the other who are the users, so it’s always your decision who you want to be. You can take it as an example that a few years ago, there would be a complete department of inventory management, and a lot of people would manage it but the creation of inventory management software and bar codes has eased the job of people and created job opportunities for people in the software and barcode industry. So you always have to stay up to date and learn more and more new things.

Will Programming be Automated?

The basic question of machine learning automation is always there, and as we have discussed previously, machine learning can be automated in the way of executing the same task again and again, but one may ask, isn't machine learning already automated? The answer is yes, machine learning is automated but not completely; only a subset of machine learning is automated, and that is the reason why it’s called machine learning. The basics tasks of machine learning include Gathering Data, Analysing the Data, Improve the App or Make Decisions

And that’s Machine learning, and automation can be done in each of these three tasks differently.

Now that you have understood Machine Learning Automation the question now is why should you care!

And the truth is software developers and engineers should understand that AI is the future not only because it is tech-related but because it helps in solving a lot of problems with ease and automating tasks for better and quicker solutions.

And the Programmers should also understand that they have to make the decision of who they want to be. Because there are always two types of people: the ones who create and the ones who use, and if you’re from the software and app developers you don't need to be worried at all because you’ll be creating and managing the machine learning programs whereas the users will stay using those programs.
