Imagine if grain from a favorable weather condition is circulated in the areas where weather conditions aren’t favorable. The grain will degrade which will cause monetary loss and wastage. Most of the time it happens that wheat crops get degraded due to rain and moisture and the farmers have to sell the grain to the wineries and beer manufacturers. The poor thermal conductivity of the grain is due to the small contact area and the air-filled cavities between the grains. Chilled over 3-6 weeks, the grain maintains its temperature for the continuous 6-8 months due to the intrinsic solution.
