How to Cleanse a Silicone Nectar Collector

The honey or syrup that drips from the nectar collector gets caught in a silicone bag known as a nectar collector. It is a particular design of portable dab rig for cannabis concentrate. The vertical shape of nectar collectors resembles a straw. The concentrate gets inhaled using the heated quartz or titanium tip, which gets attached to a silicone body and heated with a torch or electricity. Here's how to clean a silicone nectar collector in a few steps:

Step 1: Dissemble the nectar collector.

Separate the components of your nectar collecting kit so you can see everything more clearly and determine which areas of the kit need the greatest maintenance due to filthy conditions. Separating things also reduces the possibility that you will damage anything while working. Remember that cleaning your nectar collector's nail is different from cleaning the other pieces.

Step 2: Fill the containers.

You should add cool water to your sink. Rubber may melt when exposed to hot water. Alternatively, you can use a more effective cleaning solution. Pour your isopropyl alcohol into the bags or containers you are using for cleaning after taking a sip. To combine the two ingredients, add salt to the solution and give it a quick toss.

Step 3: Soak in the contents.

After 30 minutes, drain the sink and repeat steps 1 and 2 with hot water. Set the nectar collector in the sink and let it soak. Your silicone nectar collector will look brand new after soaking because the resin that has built up gets successfully removed. Although you can soak your equipment for less than the recommended 30 to 60 minutes, the 30 to 60-minute window yields the greatest results. It would be preferable if you could soak your pieces overnight.

Step 4: Rinse off and scrub the residue.

You may evaluate how much cleaning the equipment received by rinsing out the solution. You should use room temperature water when rinsing. To get the best results, remove any excess resin by rinsing it off with water or soaking it in the solution once more as you scrub the tool. It would be best if you started using a Q-tip or pipe cleaner to scrub the residues off your nectar collector once they have become loose from soaking it. Avoid using too much pressure to avoid ruining your equipment.

Step 5: Rinse and dry it.

This vital step will remove your cleaning solution and render your device safe to use once more. Be very careful to remember that inhaling alcohol particles is not a good idea. Rinse under running water for approximately two minutes. Take your silicone nectar collector and place it on some paper towels to dry when the two minutes are up. Wait until your nectar collector is dry before using it again; if water is present in the chamber, the nectar collector will become damaged. When it is not dried out, water can still harm you.

Step 6: Clean the nectar nails.

Your choice of nail relies on what kind it is. You will need to burn your nail clean if it is titanium. You're welcome to use a cleaning solution if your nail is ceramic or quartz.

Once you have successfully cleaned your silicone nectar collector, it is important to store it in a place where it won't get exposed to contaminants like dust, hair, food, or moisture. Due to silicone composition, an item will be generally simple to clean. The time between cleanings depends on how much and how frequently someone smokes.
