If left untreated, a blood infection can lead to organ failure and death.

Medication for treatment
Meronem 1gm Injection is an antibiotic medication containing the active constituent meropenem. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs and blood. It is used to treat infections that occur during or after giving birth. It may also be used in the management of neutropenic patients (patients with decreased white blood cells) with fever which is suspected to be caused by bacterial infection.
Meronem 1gm Injection is not recommended for you if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine or certain antibiotics (penicillins, cephalosporins, or carbapenems). Talk to your doctor if you have liver disorders, kidney disorders, or had severe diarrhea after taking other antibiotic medicines. You need to tell your physician if you are on a salt-controlled diet as this medicine contains sodium.
