Char Dham Yatra is a pilgrimage tour to the four holy shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Chardham trek is a unique and challenging trek in the Indian state of Uttarakhand that takes you through some of the most sacred and revered pilgrimage sites in Hinduism. The trek covers a distance of around 70-80 kilometers, and usually takes around 10-12 days to complete.

The Chardham trek starts from Yamunotri, which is dedicated to the goddess Yamuna, and is known for its hot springs and glaciers. From here, the trek takes you to Gangotri, which is dedicated to the goddess Ganga and is known for its picturesque scenery and the Bhagirathi River.

The Chardham trek is a challenging trek that requires a high level of fitness and stamina. The trek takes you through rugged terrain, steep climbs, and high-altitude passes. Day 1: Haridwar to Yamunotri (Drive: Approx. 6 hours)

  • Chardham Group Tour depart from Haridwar and drive to Janki Chatti, which is the starting point of the Yamunotri trek.
  • From Janki Chatti, you can either trek to Yamunotri Temple (approx. 6 km) or hire a pony/doli (palanquin) to reach there.
  • Overnight stay at Yamunotri.


Day 2: Yamunotri to Uttarkashi (Drive: Approx. 5 hours)

  • After visiting the Yamunotri Temple, drive to Uttarkashi for a night stay.


Day 3: Uttarkashi to Gangotri (Drive: Approx. 5 hours)

  • Drive from Uttarkashi to Gangotri, the starting point of the Gangotri Temple trek.
  • From Gangotri, you can either trek to the temple (approx. 19 km) or hire a pony/Doli.
  • Overnight stay at Gangotri.

Day 4: Gangotri to Guptkashi (Drive: Approx. 7 hours)

  • Visit the Gangotri Temple and drive to Guptkashi for a night stay.

Day 5: Guptkashi to Kedarnath (Drive & Trek)

  • Drive from Guptkashi to Gaurikund and then trek to Kedarnath Temple (approx. 14 km).
  • Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Day 6: Kedarnath to Badrinath (Drive: Approx. 6 hours)

  • After visiting the Kedarnath Temple, drive to Badrinath.
  • Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Day 7: Badrinath

  • Visit the Badrinath Temple and other nearby places of interest.
  • Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Day 8: Badrinath to Haridwar (Drive: Approx. 12 hours)

  • Drive back to Haridwar and end the Char Dham Yatra.
