Things To Watch During 3-Day Safari from Cape Town

Kruger National Park is one of the majestic places that you must visit once in a lifetime if you love nature and the African beasts. One can see various natural landmarks like Kruger Tablets and Hippo Pool along with lion lounging. A 3-day safari from Cape Town will let you witness the best locations in this national park while you can make the trip memorable by watching the African beasts in their natural habitat.

Meanwhile, game drives and bush walks provide opportunities for visitors to observe must-see creatures like Nile crocodiles, elephants, giraffes, and rhinos. Traditional vacation activities such as guided mountain bike tours and golfing are also offered.

River and Bush walks

If you don't have several days to devote to in-park routes like Wolhuter and Nyalaland but still want to explore the area on foot, consider signing up for a river walk or a morning or afternoon bush walk. These two- to four-hour walks leave from major rest camps such as Letaba, Lower Sabie, Olifants, Satara, and Skukuza on a daily basis. River hikes along the Olifants River, on the other hand, are exclusively available at the Olifant's rest camp. Each hike is led by two experienced experts.

Large wildlife, birds, and insects are frequently seen on bush hikes, so bring your camera. Do not be surprised if your guides are carrying loaded weapons; rangers are only equipped to protect you from animals.

Kruger Tablets

Though there are various spots in Kruger where lions are known to congregate, one of the greatest places to see the park's big cats is atop the Kruger Tablets. Nestled near the southern boundary of Nkayeni Region, the Kruger Tablets are dedicated to Paul Kruger, the creator of the Sabie Game Reserve, which subsequently became Kruger National Park. A plaque on one of the site's rocks may still be seen from the surrounding road.

Hippo Pool

Hippo Pool, located near Kruger's southern border, is one of the best places in the park to see hippos, as the name suggests. Hundreds of these massive, grunting beasts visit this section of the Crocodile River, where they spend most of their time bathing in the water to keep cool. Crocodiles can also be found here, but they are more difficult to spot.

Visitors are welcome to dismount their vehicles at Hippo Pool. However, hippos are exceedingly dangerous, so stay in approved viewing zones at all times. The greatest hippo images, arrive around sunset when these critters climb onshore to munch grass.

Wolhuter Trail

Wolhuter Trail, located in Kruger's Marula Region, has one of the park's many unusual vistas and some of the best animal viewing chances. Elephants, zebras, giraffes, and black and white rhinos frequently visit the area's granite outcrops and deep valleys. A variety of birds can also be spotted here on a regular basis. Furthermore, visitors can see historic remnants from the Stone and Iron periods on many of the trail's rock formations.

These are the few best places that you are going to witness during a 3-day safari from Cape Town to Kruger National Park.
